Refunds and Order Issues

At Jeffrey Smokehouse, every slab of meat is prepared low and slow, smoked to perfection over hours, and delivered fresh to your doorstep. As all items are perishable and handcrafted in small batches, we do not accept returns. However, we’re committed to making things right if something goes wrong.


Order Cancellations

Because our meats are smoked for 10–12 hours, preparations begin well in advance. All cancellations are subject to approval, and the following cancellation fees apply:

Time Before Delivery Cancellation Fee
> 24 hours 5% of order amount
< 24 hours 50% of order amount
< 4 hours 70% of order amount
< 1 hour 90% of order amount

Missing Items, Refunds & Claims

We take accuracy seriously, but in rare cases where something goes wrong:

  • If an item is missing or incorrect, we’ll refund or replace the affected item
  • Claims must be made on the day of delivery
  • You must provide clear photos of all items received
  • No refunds will be processed without photo evidence

Important:

  • All products are described accurately in taste, weight, serving size, and ingredients
  • No refunds will be issued for mistaken orders due to customer oversight
  • Claims are reviewed case-by-case, and processed promptly once verified

Re-Deliveries & Failed Deliveries

If no one is available to receive the order during your selected time slot:

  • Re-delivery can be arranged at $25
  • If redelivery is refused, there will be no refund, due to perishability

Refund Method & Store Credits

  • All refunds are issued as store credits, valid for 2 weeks
  • Store credits cannot be used for delivery fees
  • Bank refunds (minus 3.5% card processing fee) may be arranged depending on circumstance

Delivery Delays & Compensation

If your order is delivered over 1 hour later than your selected slot, and the cause is deemed unacceptable by our team:

  • A full refund in store credits will be issued
  • This excludes delays caused by bad weather or traffic, for which a 60-minute grace period applies

Example:
If you select 6–7 PM and your food arrives at 7:45 PM due to heavy rain, this falls within the grace period and is not eligible for compensation.
